Raw Food Diet

Within the raw food diet, the basics are to consume ¾ of our diet as unprocessed food. Instead of buying canned carrots, we would eat fresh, uncooked, unprocessed carrots from the produce department, or from our garden.

A raw food diet teaches that the more pure the fruit of vegetable, the more nutrients there are in it. This diet not only gives us an increased amount of nutrients, but it also requires our body to work the digestive system more thoroughly because everything is raw.

The raw food diet has many healthy aspects. however before starting such a diet, it is highly recommended to research out raw food. Some foods in their natural state can be harmful in many ways.

As with trying any new diet, it would be wise to understand the entire diet and side effects prior to starting the diet, to ensure understanding and define expectations. As all diets have certain health benefits, all diets have definite negatives. Both, benefits and problems, should be discussed thoroughly with a doctor before starting a any new diet plan.
