If you have a choice between oranges and orange juice, choose oranges. Orange juice is good for you, but there are bulk items, extra nutrients, and an actual fullness that oranges provide, that orange juice simply does not. In addition, you can eat 2-3 huge oranges and still consume fewer calories than one cup of orange juice.

I really do not have any good recipes for oranges. I personally never understood those dishes that involved cooking oranges. All the orange dishes that remain cold were always sugared or slathered with mayonnaise, lessoning the health benefits. I simply love oranges, as is. I always have oranges in the house. They not only taste good, their fragrance also brightens up any room. I go through phases where all I will eat are oranges. There have been plenty of times where I have eaten a few nice sized oranges as my entire meal.

Oranges can be messy, but if you get a good orange, it is well worth it. When I say good, I do not mean that you will have to hunt down good oranges. I mean that there are some oranges out there that simply do an injustice to others. From personal experience, I have found that the smaller the orange, the less juicy and sweet they are. The robust flavor of a big plump orange makes you thank all of those orange farmers.
